Several hip replacement implants have been the target of recalls and lawsuits in the U.S. This includes (and is not limited to) hip implants made by:
‣ Stryker, including the ABG II and the Rejuvenate
‣ DePuy, including the ASR XL and the Pinnacle Ultamet
‣ Wright, including the Conserve hip implant and the Profemur Z
‣ Zimmer, including the Durom Cup
Among the alleged problems with these (and other) hip implants include that these devices can cause complications like (but not limited to):
‣ Premature device failure
‣ Dislocation
‣ Bone damage
‣ Tissue necrosis (tissue death)
‣ Metallosis (metal poisoning)
‣ Infection, inflammation & severe pain
Many hip implant manufacturers have already come under fire—and have already paid out hundreds of millions—for failures and complications related to their defective hip implants.
